NET/SET lecture by vedant pandya

NET/SET lecture by Vedant Pandya at Department of English MKBU. On 23/01/2019.
Vedant sir took the lecture on Paper 1, and very interestingly explained 10 Components that have to be covered to pass paper 1.

1. Teaching Aptitude

Higher Order Aptitude

         2.  Research Aptitude
        3.  Reading Comprehension
        4.  Communication Aptitude
Related to classroom communication
        5.  High Reasoning & Aptitude
It’s all about Numbers and figures though it is not to check one’s Mathematics but it checks one’s ability to analyze.
          6.  Logic & Reasoning
          7.  Data Interpretation
          8.  Info. and Communication tech. (ICT)
About Information & Technology (Basic)
        9.  People Development & Environment
Human Resources
     10. Higher Education System
Structure and Process of Higher Education system in India.

Vedant sir talked on Higher Education System in detailed and step by step explained us the types of universities like State Uni. (Public Uni.), central Uni. Privet Uni. Various types of colleges.

Self Finance Colleges
Promoted and owned by the privet trusts
 Grant in Aid colleges
Land for college and building is built by trust but the salary of staffs is paid by government.
 Government Colleges
Promoted and owned by the Government
Constituent Colleges
Promoted and owned by University.

Then he explained two categories of State Universities that is Traditional universities Wherein Traditional courses such as B.A, B.Com, B.Sc and many more are taught and another category is Specialized Universities wherein we have the special universities for particular sectors such as for the field of engineering there is GTU (Gujarat Technological Uni.), for the field teaching there is IITE (Indian Institute of Teaching and Education), for veterinary and Animal Sciences there is Kaamdhenu university and many more universities are there for a particular subject or sector in Gujarat. so, by this way sir taught us about one component (Higher Education System) of NET/SET, paper 1. I like this method to learn because there is no use of questions from previous years' question papers or any technique to mug up the information, I think if we learn all the components in this way, it would be easy to get the more marks in this type of examinations. The session followed by Kahoot online test by Dilip Barad to check how much we grasped in Vedant sir's lecture. so in real sense, it was not just teaching but learning also.
